My Skills
01
Game Design & Development
As a part of a 2 person design team for a video game of the year finalist for The Rookies, I have helped design fun and interesting gameplay through the means of level design, systems design, combat design and UI design in a published title. I have a passion for creating new and exciting worlds for the next generation of gaming.
02
UI Design & Implementation
I was the UI Lead for BYU: Center for Animation’s video game capstone project, a published game built by 40+ students. I was in charge of the design and programmed implementation of all User Interface elements in our award-winning game.
03
Gameplay Engineering
With a CS degree from Brigham Young University, I can help program any aspect of the game development pipeline, whether it be in C++, C#, Java or Python. I have experience in Perforce and Github, with the ability to assist in anything from tool creation to shaders programming.
04
Early Game Prototyping
I have been a part of several projects from start to finish, which included work on the pivotal period of any game development – prototyping. Using Unreal Blueprints or standard prototyping in Unity, I have helped projects get off the ground in the early prototyping phase.
05
Video Editing
Self-taught in Adobe Premiere Pro, I have worked several years for BYUtv Sports in aiding them in sports production. I have edited sports videos from talk show B-roll and music videos to long-form social media content. I have also edited advertisements and short-form social media work for a Facebook page to attract new followers and interaction.
06
Motion & Graphic Design
I have certification in both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, along with work experience in Adobe After Effects. I understand how to make effective and informative visual content while still being visually appealing. My ability to learn new techniques in various Adobe CC programs makes me fit for any design role.
